Be it the face of dance, pageantry, education, television or film, Jazzy Ellis is a game changer. The African American Female SAG-AFTRA stunt performer, actor, independent filmmaker and activist is determined to level the playing field and add some color to our grayscale expectations. A New Jersey native, Jazzy has spent the bulk of her life integrating spaces. Whether it was at Princeton University as a religion major, in statewide pageants, or in underprivileged NOLA classrooms spreading a message of achievement, Jazzy has always been unafraid to shake the status quo. A survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault, self-care is integrated into her personal program of strength, training and development.An advocate for diverse representation and equity based inclusion practices in the TV/film industry, Jazzy has a powerful desire to create and participate in films that inspire and uplift the underrepresented and underprivileged. Her commitment to action has been demonstrated by a lifetime of social justice work, including her participation in NAACP and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A former radio host on LoisirsLit Talk Radio, CollegeDJ Live Show, and New Orleans's WBOK, she is all too familiar with using her voice to get her point across. For 2017 and beyond, her purpose is to harness the power of film to create beneficial and lasting changes in the world.She is known for doing stunts in movies such as Selma, Ride Along 2, and Terminator Genisys. She has acted and performed stunts in television series including NCIS: New Orleans, Under the Dome, The Vampire Diaries, and The Walking Dead. She has doubled for actresses such as CCH Pounder, Sanaa Lathan, Nathalie Emmanuel, Christina Marie Moses, Charmin Lee and Kylie Bunbury. She is finishing up 2016 working on Fox's Shots Fired, Fox's Star, HBO's The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Cinemax's Outcast.
