We've been saying it for weeks now, but The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 1 was exactly the jumpstart this series needed. With new faces, new stories, and new loves, this feels a little like a brand new show.
So far, so decent, I'd have to say. It might be looking like "The Originals 2.0" for now, but who knows, they might have a few more tricks up their sleeves for us. Here's hoping.
Fans get a new look at an old favorite with The Vampire Diaries season 7, giving us the chance to fall in love with the show all over again, despite the absence of Nina Dobrev.
It's great to see the show finally recognizing that Mystic Falls is a terrible place to live and getting civilians out of danger. Not great is the way they do it, via awkward voiceover and even more awkward pacing.
When it all comes down to it, there are still a dozen characters on this show that I know and love, and that's a pretty damn good number for any TV show. Let's see where this goes.
