Carl got the last slot available for the last Acting class his last semester at Louisiana State University. He was a History and Political Science major; very intent on going to Law School. However, he took the class and the acting bug bit. So long, law school. After studying at LSU where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, he then went on to get a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Cal Arts. Having lived in New York for many years, he's also spent some time in L.A., but now resides primarily in New Orleans. In addition to film and TV roles, Carl is a veteran of over 50 Off-Broadway and major regional theatre productions. He's also written an autobiographical one-man-show called A Loss For Words. It's about his search for his birthparents, his story of growing up adopted in a small factory town outside of New Orleans, intertwined with the tale of his birthparents' romance as told through the actual letters they wrote to each other before, during and after the pregnancy. His birthfather was a bit of a beatnik, and they were both excellent letter-writers. Finally, the play is about what happened after the search.
