Ashley Gilbert was born in Ft. Worth, Texas and resides in the small town of Paradise, Texas. Although born a city girl, she has a love for the country and got her first horse when she was age 10. She showed her horse in 4-H, and was part of the rodeo team her freshman and sophomore year of high school. Ashley grew up around a musically influential father who was an active trumpet player in their church praise band. Knowing that she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps, she jumped at the chance to learn the trumpet in middle school, which also ignited a love for performing. She decided in the summer before her sophomore year of high school that she would rather be playing the saxophone, so she taught herself how to play, working hard and eventually earning a Captain's slot. She marched in the band for three years, and was elected Drum Major her senior year. Her love for performing didn't stop with band, and she joined the One Act Play team her junior year as a crew member. After working on the set the first year, she landed her first role her senior year and got hooked into acting. While attending college she landed the lead role of the princess in "The Princess and the Pea" and was in many other college performances, including "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying," "The Tempest," and "The 39 Steps." After getting an Associates Degree in Performing Arts she decided to she wanted to get involved in the world of film acting. She has been working on season 3 of the TV Show "Dallas" as a recurring background actor, and has also worked as a stand-in on occasion. Show less «
