James is an actor, writer, and comedian who has appeared on NBC's "30 Rock", "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Kris Humphries Is A Douchebag" for Funny Or Die and "Inside Joke with Mark Normand" for MTV. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and has been been studying and performing improv and sketch comedy in New York City since 2008. He has trained at Upright Citizens Brigade, Peoples Improv Theater and Magnet Theater. James' sketch duo Coker & Stratton performs all around New York City and at comedy festivals across the country. He has written numerous sketch shows which have been performed at Upright Citizens Brigade, as well as the Channel 101 web series Skate City. James also starred in a pilot that was featured in the 2013 New York Television Festival titled "Classless", which he wrote with Nick Bernardone (Hot Garbage Video, 30 Rock).
