The problems on display in Null and Annoyed are the same problems we've seen all year long: inconsistency in tone, stakes that feel too low, and brutally dull villains.
Null and Annoyed was another episode that lived and died horribly thanks to the forced efforts to make Fetch Stretchy happen. It seems so long ago that I was really excited and invested in this season.
Null and Annoyed may be the most action-packed episode The Flash Season 4 has had so far. While it was a lot to take in, I can't deny that it kept me on the edge of my seat.
Null and Annoyed seems almost like two different episodes occurring simultaneously that have little to do with one another. One of those episodes is good. One of them... not so much.
