The fourth and final season of the ABC drama series continues to sees several cast changes as both Barry Sloane and Henry Czerny';;s characters, Aiden Mathis. A young woman returns to the Hamptons to make those responsible for ruining her family pay. Emily is living in Grayson Manor, Victoria is committed to a mental hospital desperately trying to escape, and David Clarke is alive.
If you'd never seen Revenge before, Sunday's season premiere was a pretty good time to join the party - and not just because every character literally recapped (out loud) what they've been up to for the past three years.
That was a stellar and solid way to kick off what should be an interesting season, answering the question "Where does Emily Thorne go from here?" The answer? There is always revenge to be had, so Emily Thorne goes right back to business.
Whether or not Victoria's promise of revenge comes to pass, it's certainly a fun, soapy idea to have Emily and Victoria switch places completely in the narrative, with a lot of rich story possibilities.
Overall, I think I enjoyed this fresh new start to Season 4, and I think it's for one reason and one reason only: Emily wasn't scheming to destroy the Graysons.
