Arrow - Season 6 Episode 21: Docket No. 11-19-41-73
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of Team Arrow with former soldier John Diggle, computer-science expert Felicity Smoak, his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen, Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance, brilliant inventor Curtis Holt, and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez and meta-human Dinah Drake. Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
We've seen season six take a bit of a step down from season five, but here's hoping that this episode helped set them back on the right track as we near the finale.
most of the complaints one could lodge about this hour as a result of the sloppy season, not the episode itself. If nothing else, "Docket" masterfully sets up the final two episodes of this very rocky sixth season.
This week's Arrow certainly had the novelty factor working in its favor, with costumed antics mostly taking a backseat to legal drama. That approach resulted in strong performances from a number of cast members.
Unfortunately, Arrow's latest attempt at becoming a courtroom drama in tonight's "Docket No. 11-19-41-73" was frustrating, mostly boring, and lacked any kind of substance, which is disappointing because it could've worked.
