Best known for his portrayal of the iconic DC Comics' antihero Deadshot, Michael Rowe's first passion was music. A native of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, after ten years as songwriter and drummer for the post-hardcore/punk band Bucket Truck and sharing the stage with the likes of NOFX, Slayer, Fishbone and D.O.A., he found himself at a crossroads. The breakup of the band sent him west to Vancouver where his brother, Andrew, was beginning his career as a filmmaker. New to film, Michael began producing and performing in his brother's digital comedy shorts. Their short film "Sleepy Stories" became a film festival favorite, followed by the Whistler Film Festival/MPPIA supported and award-winning "Vehicular Romanticide".With a new focus, and after a short stint at The Actor's Foundry in East Vancouver, Michael landed a recurring role as the popular super villain Deadshot on the hit CW series Arrow. His background in comedy helped him bring a unique and darkly offbeat energy to the performance which led to the character becoming a fan favorite. Michael jumped from one deadly comic book assassin to another in 2016 when he was cast as Ninjak, the lead character in Valiant Comics' debut live-action series titled: "Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe", set for release in 2017.Along with his success in the DC and Valiant worlds Michael continues working on independent projects with his brother. They have just finished production on their debut feature film, Crown and Anchor, in which Michael plays the lead character, James Downey. Crown and Anchor is a dark family drama set in St. John's, Newfoundland and is slated to be released in 2017.
