Winston Zeddemore is the only member of The Ghostbusters who is not a founding member. He joined the team during the cross-dimensional rift, which led to the coming of Gozer-this eventuality caused the Ghostbusters to receive such a huge surge in business that they required an extra gun in the team, so they therefore advertised the available position. Zeddemore was the first and only applicant, and was hired instantly. He began his career with an open mind - he'll believe anything you say, if there's a steady pay cheque in it , and quickly became both an asset and a good friend to the Ghostbusters. As time went by, he became the translator of Ray Stantz's long-winded, jargon-filled explanations of supernatural occurances into simple terms, that they could be understood by normal folk, usually the Mayor of New York, Lenny Clotch. The Ghostbusters was only 3 when they formed in the start of the movie.then zeddemore joinedWinston continues to be a valued, irreplaceable member of the Ghostbusters.
