George is in initially introduced as the sole survivor of a serial killer known as the Boston Reaper. He was stabbed several times while with a female companion. The girl was savagely stabbed and killed. Foyet lives in hiding under several aliases, he takes the bus to his freelance job as a computer technician with the city because the Reaper likes to get his victims in cars. His entire life seems dedicated to avoiding the Reaper. His only real companion is a journalist who wrote a book on the Reaper. It is discovered later that his parents were killed in a car accident when he was nine and he was adopted by a wealthy sterile couple. As the Reaper killings begin once again after a hiatus of ten years due to a deal struck by the lead detective with the Reaper the BAU arrives in Boston to start the hunt again. They eventually track Foyet down and promise to keep him safe from the Reaper. The Reaper contacts the BAU and offers Hotchner the same deal he offered the original investigating detective. Hotchner hangs up on the Reaper and the Reaper slaughters a bus full of people. The Reaper writes three numbers on the windows of the bus, each corresponds to one of the addresses Foyet provided, thus the Reaper knows where Foyet lives. Foyet then contacts his journalist friend and asks him to come over. Once the journalist arrives Foyet reveals that he is in fact the Reaper and has been all along. He is enraged that the journalist did not publish any details about Foyet's deal with the original Reaper detective. As the team closes in they find out that Foyet likely killed his parents when he was 9, Foyet attacks Morgan and steals his credentials but is interrupted before he can kill Morgan. Foyet leaves enough of his own blood at his home that it appears that he bled out and the 'Reaper' took his body. The team finally manages to capture him, he claims he will be more famous than he know and later escapes custody as the team is returning to Quantico. Now 'outed' Foyet makes it his mission to torture Hotchner for denying the deal. He ambushes Hotchner at Hotchner's apartment, beats him, shoots him and then methodically stabs him. Before Hotchner can bleed out he drops him at a local E.R. using Morgan's credentials to get away. Part of his signature is to steal something from one victim and transfer it to the next. He steals Hotchner's ex-wife's contact information which forces Hotchner to put her and their son into witness protection. Thus the Foyet separates Hotchner from his son permanently until the BAU captures him.Foyet initializes contact later via a serial family killer known as the Fox. The team increases their efforts to find Foyet. They use the envelopes Foyet sent to the Fox as well as a nationwide search for a number of medications Foyet is dependent upon due to the stab wounds he self-inflicted eleven years previously as his alibi. The team manages to find Foyet's new name and address. When they arrive they find evidence that Foyet fled shortly before they closed in. Garcia manages to hack Foyet's computer before it finishes erasing and discovers that he has been watching the marshall assigned to Haley and Jack. The team try to close in and capture Foyet at the marshall's last location. They arrive too late, the marshall has been shot and savagely beaten, while he didn't crack and give up Haley Foyet stole his cell phone and managed to contact her with it. Haley now thinks that Hotchner is dead and her security is compromised, she follows Foyet's directions and takes Jack to the home she once shared with Hotchner.Garcia manages to track the stolen cellphone to a handful of cell towers, it is impossible to narrow it down from there as the phone was designed to be used by marshalls and automatically switches between towers. Hotchner surmises that Foyet has gone to the home he shared with Haley and Jack, he calls Foyet desperate to stall him. Foyet initially hangs up on him and meets Haley.Foyet then calls Hotchner to taunt him. Haley bravely withstands Foyet's jibes, she says goodbye to Jack and relays Hotchner's instructions to tell Jack to 'work the case'. The boy runs off and after Haley speaks with Hotchner again Foyet shoots her. The team is listening in on Hotchner's call by then and hears the shot. Hotchner finally reaches the house and rushes in. He carefully sweeps the house hunting Foyet. Eventually he and Foyet tangle and Hotchner manages to kill him. Foyet is unable to find and hurt Jack.
