Soundwave is a Transformer soldier in the evil Decepticon army. He generally serves as the communication officer and spymaster, and operates with a set of personal minions. His personality is consistently emotionless and chill, speaking in a robotic monotone.1984 cartoon (G1) - Soundwave was Megatrons trusted lieutenant in the Decepticons. He transformed into a blue cassette player and has Ravage, Laserbeak, Rumble and Frenzy as his minions.2005 cartoon (Cybertron) - Soundwave, unusually, is not a Decepticon in this show but is Sideways partner; the two are the last survivors of Planet X, a world that was destroyed in a war with the world of Gigantion, and the two scheme for revenge on Gigantion and its allies. He is known for speaking like a DJ. He transformed into a blue alien jet and has Laserbeak (one of a set of birds) as his minion.2007 cartoon (Animated) - Soundwave was a blue media player toy owned by Sari Sumdac, which gained sentience. He was convinced to turn on humans by Megatron, who claimed they were enslaving robots. He went on to evolve the mode of a Scion XB automobile. He possessed the power to control robots minds, and had Laserbeak and Ratbat as his minions.2009 and 2011 films (ROTF/DOTM) - Soundwave transformed into a satellite and later a Mercedes sportscar, and has Ravage and Laserbeak as his minions.2010 cartoon (Prime) - Soundwave transformed into a purple Predator drone and has Laserbeak as his minion. He has a monitor as a visor through which he communicates visual messages, and has only ever spoken once.He made a cameo in the 2015 cartoon Robots in Disguise, where he attempted to contact Megatron and bring Decepticon soldiers back to Earth.
