Petite, blonde... and a social pariah. Parker's idea of fun would scare the living daylights out of most people. She has neither modesty nor fear of heights. Like Hardison, Parker grew up in the foster care system, but her tale is one of abuse and neglect. She's insecure about only one thing: her ability to pass herself off as a normal person. *Got it from the official site*A shadowy past as an orphan and a fear of horses hasn't stood in the way of this diminutive thief. She's bright and sharp, but she's also a little off-center, seeing the world from a sometimes warped point of view. Parker can fit into a small space, climb a wall or rappel off a roof without any fear. Shes also amazingly skilled at disappearing in a moment's notice. During the first season, Parker came face-to-face with her past when she helped rescue a group of children from a horrible orphanage being used as a front for weaponParker approaches the world the way that most children would if orphaned and sent to foster care at a young age--as a scary, unpredictable place that she had better learn how to use for her own means before it uses her. She doesn't like people, because she doesn't understand them. She's a member of the team because she senses that their hearts are in the right place, and she wants to join them in order to help other people. However, just because she likes to help other people is no indication that she intends to participate fully in ordinary interactions with them. She treats her male teammates like family, aside from Hardison, for whom she has some romantic feeling. For the most part, though, she prefers to remain as emotionally distant as possible from the people around her. She learned well her lesson that people are not to be trusted. Parker has been betrayed, mistreated and demeaned in her past. She was on her own as a teenager, and became a very talented pickpocket. After picking the pocket of a world-class thief, he began to train her to be the kind of thief capable of leaping from atop twenty-story buildings and stealing the Hope diamond just for fun.
