Myra Monkhouse was introduced to the show as Ted's cousin, She was an intelligent, pretty girl who happens to have her heart set on dating a nerdy boy who enjoys polka music like she (making her a nerd by association). Urkel and her hit it off, allowing Laura to breathe a sigh of relief ... at least temporarily.Very quickly, she sees that Laura and Urkel are still friends, and she drew the conclusion that she was her competition, even though Steve claimed that they were just friends. Many times, she would try to correct the misunderstanding, although it only made Myra more convinced that she was out to steal Urkel's heart. Despite the fact, Steve was very loyal to her from seasons 6-8.The best way to describe Myra's relationship with Laura is adversarial, even if Urkel wasn't on their minds; for instance, the two briefly lived together and once competed for a job at the department store where Harriette worked. She has defended Urkel a lot of times before and was always upset that her efforts to make him feel like the Most Important Man In The World went unappreciated. In season 9, episode 1: Out With The Old, Myra was dead set against Steve getting a makeover to and tried to talk him out of it. Urkel refused and went through with it much to her chagrin. In Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Steve finally ended his relationship with her due to her constant complaining to go back to the sexy geeky man she loves and give up on Laura. Although she did make the mistake of pretending to have broken up with Urkel because he looked too much like Stefan, Steve did make the ultimate error in assuming that he was safe to be with his true love and showed how unappreciative he was towards Myra. Two weeks later, she came back to the Winslow home wanting a second chance to be with him. Instead she was upset to see them elope and she swore to destroy their relationship until Urkel realised he made a terrible mistake in choosing Laura over her. In the two part episode, Crazy For You, she tried break them up when they started dating by teaming up with Stefan Urquelle, and was successful in the first part. Later on in the second part, Steve finds out that Myra was spying on him, breaks his glasses and tells her to renounce her love for him because he doesn't appreciate the fact that she was a stalker and that he'll never love her the same way he loves Laura. She refused and continued stalking hm until the two part series finale, Lost In Space. If the series continued for a 10th season, Myra would've been removed by sent to jail.Myra is known to have a mother named Mitzi and she was portrayed by Michelle Thomas.
