When Kathy is thrust into the Friends lives, she begins dating Joey. Joey and Kathy are good together until Chandler falls in love with her. He has all the same interests as Kathy but he keeps his feelings to himself in order not to hurt Joey's feelings. In one episode, Kathy is out jogging and Chandler sees her running so he chases after her not realising she has headphones in. He chases her all the way down the road and he get's covered in mustard and tangled in dog leads. When Kathy's birthday arrives, Chandler buys a present for her but he gives it to Joey to give to her. It is a book called 'The Velvetine Rabbit' which Kathy loved as a child. Joey's original gift was a pen that has a clock on it. Joey gives the book to Kathy and Chandler gives Kathy the clock pen. Kathy see's past the gift giving and realises that Chandler originally bought the book.Eventually, Chandler and Kathy kiss and Joey finds out. Kathy and Chandler begin dating but Joey refuses to talk to Chandler. Joey says the only way he will forgive Chandler is if he spends thanksgiving in a box and eventually is not allowed to speak. When Kathy comes to see Chandler, she says she doesn't think it's a good idea that they see each other as she doesn't like what it's doing to his and Joey's friendship. Joey feels guilty and let's him out of the box where Chandler chases Kathy and they make up.As Kathy and Chandler's relationship progresses Chandler becomes more jealous of Kathy's colleague Nick. They are starring in a play together where a sex scene is involved. Chandler accuses Kathy of cheating on him on stage. Kathy storms out and Chandler eventually goes to her apartment where he apologises. Chandler finds a pair of men's trousers and it turns out that after Chandler's accusations, she began cheating on him with Nick. The two of them break up. Show less «
