Voluptuous Toon siren Jessica Rabbit began as the unassuming Jessica Krupnick. Jessica was once a shy girl, who dressed in an unflattering fashion and kept her hair tied in a bun. As an insecure Toon, who didn't have the humor and gregarious tendencies of most typical Toons, she never received much attention. She was oddly oblivious to her own attributes and natural charms.Jessica Krupnick got a job as a secretary in a radio station where she led a rather dull life and dreamed of something better. One day, a hyper-active Toon hare named Roger Rabbit came to the station. Roger was searching for his long-lost-mother (Roger heard a broadcast of a radio show Mr. Keene: Tracer of Lost Persons and erroneously believed that Mr. Keene was a real guy who could help locate his mother.) Roger sees past Jessica's mousy exterior and takes an immediate liking to her. She is flattered by his attentions. He asks her out on a date and she gladly accepts. As they grow closer, Roger makes Jessica laugh and encourages her to enjoy life more. He helps her start to come out of her shell. She slowly begins to dress in a more appealing fashion.Jessica starts to become suspicious of her boss Otto. She then learns that Otto is a Nazi spy, but before she can tell anyone, he captures her. He forces her to leave a note saying she's going away, then he kidnaps her and whisks her off to Germany as his prisoner.During the 18 months she is Otto's captive, Jessica is forced to entertain the Nazi big brass. She is glammed up and dressed in sexy cloths, to take advantage of her outrageously curvaceous figure. She must perform for their entertainment. She is also ordered to do pro-Nazi radio broadcasts, (Like a Tokyo Rose type propaganda queen.)Back in the US, Roger is a rising star when he hears a Nazi radio broadcast given by Jessica and he realizes why Jessica vanished so abruptly. Along with a few of his fellow Toons, Roger sneaks behind enemy lines to rescue Jessica. They foil Otto's evil plan to assassinate Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin. Otto is killed when Roger's Toon friend Blackie Cat crosses Otto's path and a piano falls on Otto's head.Roger returns to the US as a hero, is given a parade in his honor and offered a contract by R.K.Maroon--Owner of Maroon Cartoons Studio--to appear in a series of Baby Herman cartoons. Roger accepts. The newly sexualized Jessica decides she wants to perform also, and gets a job as a sultry Torch singer in the Ink and Paint Club. She becomes the club's main attraction.Several years later, Jessica and Roger are caught up in a scheme by the evil Judge Doom to destroy Toon Town (A segregated community near Hollywood where Toon actors live) in order to build a series of shops and strip malls alongside the new freeway.Doom recruits Roger's boss R.K. Maroon to help accomplish the scheme. Maroon forces Jessica to seduce Marvin Acme (the owner of the land where Toon Town stands) by threatening to fire and blacklist her husband Roger. Jessica wants to protect Roger so she reluctantly agrees to use her considerable feminine wiles to help blackmail Acme. (Maroon hires detective Eddie Valiant to take some compromising pictures of Acme and Jessica together.) When Acme still doesn't agree to sell the land to Doom, Doom has him killed.Roger is framed for Acme's murder. If Acme's will doesn't appear in 24 hours, Toon Town will be sold to the highest bidder, which is Doom. Seductive Jessica tries to use her charms to pursuade Eddie Valiant that they have both been used as pawns. Jessica doesn't realize that she has Marvin Acme's will, because it was written in invisible ink. Ultimately, Eddie Valiant uncovers Doom's dastardly plot, discovers's Acme's hidden will (which gives ownership of the land to the Toon inhabitants) and vindicates Roger. When last we saw them, Jessica and Roger were living happily-ever-after in Toon Town.
