Jean-Ralphio is a good friend and occasional business partner of Tom Haverford, who, like Tom, has a penchant for trying to get rich quickly. Jean-Ralphio has some money that was left to him by his deceased grandfather and from a legal settlement after getting run over by a Lexus -- an accident he apparently had a hand in setting up (he suggests that he knows a guy who can arrange such an accident, minor scrapes and bruises, major dollars and cents. Jean-Ralphio isn't particularly sharp, though, and is actually far less responsible with money than Tom, who tends to generate all the ideas while Jean-Ralphio most goes along pretending to be part of it.
