Originally enters the BAU by insinuating himself into Garcia's daily routine. He manages to secure a date with her and then shoots her in the chest on the steps outside of her apartment. Garcia miraculously survives and is soon at home with Morgan as her guard. Colby again tries to Garcia at her apartment. The team are extremely protective of Garcia and are hard at work hunting him.The analyst brought in to replace Garcia first discovers an encrypted file on her system. He becomes enamored of Garcia via her technical genius. As the team closes in on Colby they realize that Garcia had inadvertently flagged several he was involved in. She originally flagged the files as being of interest to the FBI as a favor to several families she counseled, the files pertained to the murders of these family's loved ones. Unbeknownst to her flagging the files attracted Colby's homicidal tendencies because he's a hero homicide killer. He shoots people and then arranges to be the first responder and hero.Suspecting that Garcia was onto him he tracked her down and set her up. The team concludes this and attempts to hunt Colby down. The replacement analyst - Kevin - works with Garcia (Garcia's access was crippled once her encrypted file was discovered but she logs in with one of the BAU team's logins) via their computers to finger Colby. Colby panics and realizes the jig is up, he takes a high ranking agent hostage and JJ shoots him dead. Garcia is eventually reinstated and begins a relatioship with Kevin. Show less «
