Furio becomes a soldier in the Soprano crew after Tony meets him in Italy. He was impressed with Furio's old school dedication and loyalty. Furio proves a brutal enforcer, during his first few days in America he breaks into a massage parlor to get Chris' money from the owner. Furio hits the owner's wife and and then shoots him in the knee cap. Eventually Furio becomes Tony's driver, spending his mornings drinking coffee in the Soprano household. Tensions raise when he begins to fall in love with Carmela. He and Carmela find excuses to call each other and meet up, if only to talk for a little while. The relationship between Tony and Carmela begins to fall apart as Furio begins to get closer. After meeting with his uncle in Italy, Furio realizes he cannot love the bosses wife and expect to live. Tony is nearly killed when Furio grabs him next to a rotating helicopter blade. Furio tells Tony he grabbed him because he was standing too close. After this near death experience, Furio leaves for Italy only leaving a message at the Bing and he is never seen again. Later Tony declares to Carmela, If certain people see him, he's a dead man.
