Dyson - The unorthodox detective Be smarter, be faster, i think they're underestimating you make them regret it. Dyson is an ancient wolf warrior who has recently returned from going rogue. Powerful, Stubborn, working undercover for his fellow Fae as a Human police detective, Dyson already has his hands full when Bo stumbles into town, adding to his troubles and complicating his life in ways he can't begin to imagine.Dyson is a wolf-shifter, and is about 1,500 years old at the time the show takes place. Long ago, presumably during the Great War, he was part of a wolf pack. As part of this pack he loyally served his king as a mercenary. His best friends were Stefan, and Stefan's wife Ciara. His king coveted Ciara for himself, so he sent Stefan on a suicide mission. Dyson knowing his friend wouldn't survive the mission, went to a Norn and tried to get her to save Stefan. Her price would be to take his wolf from him. Dyson couldn't pay this price, and broke with the pack, becoming a lone wolf.Dyson would spend centuries aimlessly wandering around Europe, committing crimes and other morally compromising acts. This was until 1899 in Paris. It was here he was saved from a couple of humans by Fitzpatrick McCorrigan, whom Dyson soon nicknamed Trick. Trick told him he needed to get his act together and revealed himself as the Blood King, who disappeared long ago and most thought was dead. Trick told Dyson about the Helskor, and how he needed to stop them from falling into the wrong hands. Dyson managed to get the shoes with the help of his girlfriend Flora. When she put them on they turned her evil, and she went on a killing spree. Flora was killed by Crater, who wanted the Helskor for himself, but Dyson decided to change his ways and refused to let him have the shoes. He kept one for himself but gave the other to his friend, and fellow shifter, Angel. He then swore fealty to Trick and joined him in traveling to the New World. While technically a Light Fae, Dyson's true loyalties lie with Trick. At some point he would become a detective in the human police force. I assume it was at this time he met and became close friends with his Fae partner, Hale.While investigating a murder, he met an unaligned Fae named Bo. Doing his duty as a Light Fae, he brought her before the Light and Dark. She refused to join either, and with help from her human friend Kenzi, survived the trials. Trick told Dyson to keep an eye on Bo. He soon fell in love, but resisted getting to close due to warnings from Trick. Things soon became more complex with Lauren also competing for Bo's affections. He found himself assisting Bo in her adventures, becoming closer friends with both her and Kenzi. Eventually he started an official relationship with Bo, but this was short lived. The arrival of Bo's evil and insane mother Aife changed all that.In order to help Bo beat her mother he returned to the Norn, now ready to pay the price. The Norn didn't take his wolf however, instead she took his love of Bo. Unable to love, Dyson became increasingly depressed. He tried to move on with Ciara when she came to town, but this didn't last either. During the battle with the Garuda, Kenzi got his love back for him, as they had now become close friends. It was too late for him though, as Bo had now reconciled with Lauren.He continued to help in their cases and other adventures however, not letting his personal feelings get in the way of his friendships. He also got a new partner, Tamsin, a Dark Fae Valkyrie. This was because Hale had become acting Ash. Despite a rocky start, they soon developed a rapport with each other. When Bo was taken, he and all of her other friends lost their memory of her. After a confusing period, which included a near relationship with Kenzi, they managed to regain their memories. He then managed to find Bo and bring her back. His competition with Lauren soon restarted, but this time was more friendly. They had grown to realize that they no longer hated one another. He then assisted Bo in finding out who took her, and why. He suffered a great personal loss when Hale, his long time friend, was killed by Massimo. Dyson then swore fealty to Bo, and went to fight to stop her father from escaping his imprisonment. Him, Tamsin, and Trick weren't enough however. He suffered another loss when Kenzi sacrificed herself to close the portal to Hel. Show less «
