This job led to Earl nicknaming him Crab-man when he failed to remember Darnell's Pseudonym. Darnell began a relationship with Joy, Earl's wife, and fathered the second of her bastard children, Earl Jnr. Following Earl's accident Joy divorced Earl and married Darnell, becoming Joy Turner. Darnell is generally an easy going laid back kind of guy, although he often turns to Earl for help and advice, he also has flashes of pure genius which betray his actual intelligence. He loves Joy despite her actions, and also loves his pet turtle Mr Turtle . You know Darnell is happy with something you have done if he makes you Lemon Squares.
