Daniel Salazar, much like Sweeney Todd, is a barber who also likes to torture and kill people using his straight razors. Senor Salazar was born in Guatemala where he lived a typical Guatemalan life. I don't know exactly what a typical Guatemalan life is like but I imagine it involves swimming in sewage and eating gross things like cockroach larva. When he got older he moved to Nicaragua where he joined some resistance movement or another and learned how to torture people for information by skinning them alive with a straight razor. One day, he captured a nearby politician named Juan Valdez (not the coffee guy) and began torturing him. About halfway through peeling the skin off of Juan's left arm, Juan's daughter Griselda walked in. Griselda was pretty cool with the fact that Daniel was peeling her dad because her dad was kind of a dick and Daniel was pretty hot, especially covered in blood. After Juan died from blood loss, Daniel and Griselda hooked up and eventually Daniel knocked her up. Figuring that a knocked up wife was a dangerous thing for a resistance fighter to have, Daniel gave up torturing and moved with his new wife Griselda to East Los Angeles. For a while Daniel struggled to find something he could do to support his family. For a while he hung out in front of a Home Depot looking for work but he wasn't big on landscaping or construction so he stopped doing that. Then he went to work picking fruit but that wasn't doing it for him either. Finally Daniel had a revelation. He would become a barber! So he broke out his trusty old straight razor, scrubbed off the blood, and opened up Salazar's Shave and Snip where he shaved off hair instead of skin. Show less «
