Skye was found by a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who classified her as an 0-8-4 or object of unknown origin. Skye was sent to St. Agnes Orphanage by Linda Avery, one of the agents to secure her safety. Skye also stayed with a family named Brody. When Skye got older, she joined the Rising Tide and became the girlfriend of master hacker Miles Lydon. Skye lived for two years inside a van until she was found by Agent Coulson. Skye joined SHIELD because she wanted to learn the truth about her parents. Skye was shot by an assistant to John Garrett named Ian Quinn. Skye was revived by GH-325 with no side effects. Skye came back to SHIELD after it was rebuilt by Coulson following HYDRA's attack on SHIELD. Skye grew concerned that Coulson was writing alien markings. Skye is one of few people who can touch the obelisk. Once she touched the obelisk, then she became superhuman (Quake).
