Billy Fordham, nicknamed Ford, was a student of Hemery High in Los Angeles and an old childhood friend and crush of Buffy Summers. He reveals to Buffy that he found out she was the slayer before she was expelled from Hemery. He tells her he is newly enrolled at Sunnydale, but in reality he wasn't in Sunnydale for school, but to hand Buffy over to Spike, and in return Spike promises to make him into a vampire. He is motivated into doing this by his incurable brain cancer, hoping to finally be free of pain as a vampire. He gets his wish, and Buffy stakes him immediately after he rises.
