Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole)Astrid is an FBI Junior Agent and an investigative research assistant for Olivia Dunham, who is brought in to the basement lab as Walter's logistical assistant following its re-opening. Although not much is known about Astrid's background, she acts as a calming influence over Walter when he becomes frantic or his emotional state grows erratic. She also obtains equipment and does practical research to assist Walter, and although she does not appreciate being asked to do so, will often run out to the store to get him odd supplies, including snacks and sweets, when he requests it.Astrid may be the most patient figure on the Fringe team, demonstrating the ability to put up with Walter's constant mispronunciations of her name.Background: Astrid graduated from Haverford College with a B.A. in Music and Linguistics and a minor in Computer Science. She is fascinated by cryptology, and speaks five languages.
