Zee James is both an actress and a professional stunt woman who appears most recently on ABC's Mistresses as well as in the new FX pilot Snowfall. Next Spring, Zee will play the role of Monique in the new Netflix series Dear White People and come March she will turn up in a hilarious episode of Disney's Walk The Prank.Originally from Tupelo, Mississippi, Ms. James moved to Los Angeles with $500 cash in her pocket and a dream in her heart. Her first recurring role was as "Adult Tonya" in the comedy series Everybody Hates Chris in which Zee was commended for her comedic timing and appealing demeanor. The one-time guest star appearance soon evolved into a recurring role.Zee's passion for stunts grew out of her love for athletics and martial arts. A college track star and competitor in Taekwondo, Zee met actor and martial artist, Michael Jai White while training and through him was introduced to Hollywood stunt coordinator, William Washington. It was William (Billy) who gave Zee her first stunt job. As a stunt performer, Zee's work is featured in Ride Along, How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal, Real Husbands of Hollywood, Mom, You're The Worst and Perception...to name a few.Zee was last seen on the big screen in the box office success, Straight Outta Compton and appears in other films such as Life Partners and Epic Movie. She can also be found in over a dozen national commercials for brands including American Airlines, Microsoft, Coors Light, Exxon Mobil and McDonald's.Zee James is a graduate of Long Beach State University with a BA in Fashion Merchandising.
