Wilhelmenia Ford knew that she wanted to become an actress at the young age of nine after playing a lead role in her fourth grade play, but it was not until she was in her 60's after becoming a cancer survivor, that she took a deep look into her heart and decided to pursue that lifelong dream of becoming a successful professional actor. Now at the age of 70, the beautiful and talented Wilhelmenia is defying the odds and proving that age need not be a barrier to success in the industry. She is now seeing a steady flow of projects coming her way. Wilhelmenia most recently completed filming on the Domain Pictures feature film "We'll Let You Know", in which she played the supporting role of Stella. The film is written and directed by Preston Walden, and executive producer Karina Michel. Other recent film credits include "Speed Dating", "No Harm Done", "The Bench", and "We Three Witches". Wilhelmenia has also been finding success booking roles on television series, commercials, and print work. Wilhelmenia Ford was born in Los Angeles to a 42 year old mother and a 67 year old father. She was raised in her mother's home state of Maine after her father passed away when Wilhelmenia was only 22 month of age. She had a love for horses and started a successful business as a child renting out ponies for pony rides at local outdoor theaters and fairs. Wilhelmenia grew up and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) postgraduate degree from Arizona State University. After working for over 30 years in the health-care profession, Wilhelmenia Ford made the decision to focus all of her attention on studying acting on a continual basis and pursuing professional film and television acting roles. She also enjoys the ability to travel extensively to attend auditions, call-backs, and work on projects in any location around the world.
