RON NERY JR (musically as 'Ron Velvet') is a Filipino-American actor & singer-songwriter from Southern California. Most recently his comedic short film, "Mesti-So?!" which he wrote, co-produced, and starred in, won RED Digital Cinema's Best Overall Film at the AT&T SHAPE Create-A-Thon - AT&T's biggest & most respected national film competition. He also was featured @ the LA Philippine International Film Festival, and booked the role of "Brad" on CBS's "Me, MYSELF & I."RON VELVET is the musical alter ego of Filipino-American actor, Ron Nery Jr. Since childhood, Ron never shied away from the spotlight, whether starring in school plays, or dancing competitively for UC Riverside's 909 Hip-Hop Dance Troupe where he was able to open for artists such as Busta Rhymes & E-40. Upon graduating, Ron went onto compete on CMT's "Your Chance to Dance" and has also performed at a number of notable venues, including the Hollywood Bowl & The Pasadena Civic Auditorium. With his debut album, The Velvet EP, RON VELVET aspires to create a lane in mainstream music for Asian-American artists.
