Reggie Gaskins is an award winning Writer & Director who was born in Philadelphia where he began his acting career at the prestigious Freedom Theatre. It was there where he honed his skills as an actor, playwright and director. Unhappy with the limitations of roles he was cast, Reggie began writing plays for himself to portray a variety of roles. Finding success as a playwright and actor Reggie moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his career goals.In Los Angeles, Reggie found success as a strong comedic actor, and television and film writer, director and producer. His intelligent and energetic comedic timing landed him as the lead in the hilarious ABC Pilot "Go Sick." Reggie has since starred in numerous TV Shows and Films including "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "90210" and "EVE", and such films "Friday After Next" and "Showtime." He was also a writer and producer on the television show "The Tony Rock Project."Reggie has also found success as an independent film writer, producer and director with his two award winning films "The Lying Truth" and "Restraining Order". Restraining was the centerpiece film of the 2006 Pan African Film Festival and earned an NAACP Image Award Nomination for Outstanding Writing of a Feature Film. "The Lying Truth" won Best Picture and Audience Choice Award for Best Picture at the 2011 Hayti Heritage Film Festival.Reggie has also written, produced and directed many short films and web series including the hilarious "Reggie's Family & Friends", "Reggie Gaskins' Urban Love Story", "Can I Get A Pickle?" and his action drama "The Debt."
