Orease Bowers was born in Brooklyn, New York City. Early on in his life, he knew that he wanted to be an actor. He would mimic his favorite actors with dreams of one day working alongside them. Because his environment didn't garner much opportunity, this idea seemed a bit far fetched. Orease, like many others, thought that his love of sports and athleticism would be his "way out". He excelled and won numerous accolades for gymnastics, track & field, and basketball. However, they all paled in comparison to his love and passion for acting. He eventually decided to pursue his lifelong dream, and with his wife's insistence, took a chance audition for a manager and agent. They saw something in him and decided to take Orease on as a client. Since then, he has been in "Crashing" on HBO, Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black" and most recently NBC's "The Blacklist" starring James Spader.
