Writer-performer Nancy Ellen Shore plays a recurring State Department Adviser on Madam Secretary and a recurring Inmate on Orange Is the New Black and has been featured in many other TV shows and movies since 2012, playing everything from a homeless woman to a wealthy Tony Voter friend of Anjelica Huston's character on Season 2 of Smash. She can be seen as Matty's Aunt in The Visit, an upcoming film short starring June Squibb. A former theater critic/feature writer for Backstage, Stages, and The Providence Journal, she has penned juvenile biographies (Amelia Earhart, Anne Hutchinson), written for Time-Life Books, and done editorial work at Condé Nast, The New York Review of Books, and many other NYC newspapers, magazines, and publishing companies. She is a proud member of SAG and the Dramatists Guild.
