Mitchell was born in Sioux Falls, SD on Sept. 23, 1979. His parents divorced when he was just a year old. His father was gone most his life except for occasionally showing up for sporadically every few years. He was raised by his mother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on his family's farm. He attended Roosevelt High School, in Sioux Falls, where January Jones was a year ahead of him. Never a great student, Mitchell dropped out his Junior year and received his G.E.D. In 1999, at 19, he moved out to Hawaii with a friend and lived there for a year before his grandfather's health took a turn for the worst. He returned back to South Dakota and stayed until 2003. Tired of the slow-paced Midwest, he returned back to Hawaii. In 2006, Mitchell started a construction consulting firm that services clients across the Pacific region. With a solid team working for him, he's able to devote his time to his passion of acting. Show less «
