Born in Melbourne, Victoria Australia, Mikaela Phillips began her career in acting at the young age of six years old. She was cast to play a younger version of Gigi in Victoria's largest and most successful music theatre companies CLOC Theater's musical production of the 1958 movie Gigi. Mikaela then went on to pursue acting both at school and out of school with various acting classes and productions, in which many she was a leading role. Some productions have included My Fair Lady as Eliza Doolitte and Swan Lake Breathes as Odette.Going on and pursuing acting further into her teen years. Moving to LA with her mum, Mikaela began taking on more roles in pilots for TV/Film and portraying characters in original theatre, video and film works of her mother's who is a successful author, playwright and screenwriter. Having trained with some of the best studios, coaches and professional in the USA and Australia, Mikaela turned her interest and love for entertainment and being in front of the camera to her journalistic and reporting side.Her charismatic and innovative conversational style of reporting led her, at the young age of 18, to become the youngest person ever to become a host for the world's largest online network, "Afterbuzz TV."
