Michael began acting in 1989 on the Off Broadway stages of New York City. He then continued his passion into the film and television arena, while maintaining his love for the theatre. He was asked to appear in several of the Law & Order series, The Handler, The Practice, Robbery Homicide Division as well as feature and independent films. While working with some of the industry's most prominent actors and directors, he watched and learned from them working closely in-front, as well as behind the camera. Since then Michael has been concentrating on his teaching, as well as his directing. He continues writing for film and television. (In The Box, Shifting Point, Comeback, Mutual Acquaintance, Bomb Squad Unit and Falco). Michael has taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. His passion for the arts has also led him to open The Malisa Theatre Academy as well as The New York Theatre Academy, where he teaches classes as well as directs performances in New York City. The New York Theatre Academy is home to many actors and Michael has established himself as one of the Industry's leading acting teachers.
