Massimiliano Furlan, aka Massi, was born near Venice in Treviso, Italy. Massi is the oldest of two brothers. Massi played semi professional soccer since the age of nine. He attended Liceo Artistico art school, specializing in painting; a hobby he still enjoys. Massi voluntarily joined the Italian Army at the age of 17. He was based in Aosta, Italy where he flew helicopters for six years. He later performed as a stand up comedian for four years, impersonating famous Italian celebrities.Massi moved to Miami Beach in May, 1998 where he worked in the restaurant business helping his brother Christian Furlan, a successful Italian chef. After a few years off, he returned to his real passion, being an Entertainer.In 2007 Massi moved to Hollywood, CA where his acting chops were quickly recognized. He was immediately cast in the HBO pilot 1%, Days of Our Lives, Terminator: Sarah Connors Chronicles, and also starred in the controversial Carl's Junior commercial, The Visit. Later in 2010 he landed a recurring role on ABC's General Hospital. The year 2011 brought several more projects including Criminal Minds, One Tree Hill, Aim High (Jackson Rathbone) in addition to a few feature films.The Italian actor was most recently cast in the most anticipated movie of the 2012- The Dark Knight Rises. In a recent interview Massi (once proclaimed "The New Villain in Town") stated that one of his goals is to work with Sir Anthony Hopkins.2012 continued on the right path for the Italian actor that was cast as one of the leads in a Lifetime movie Layover alongside Lauren Holly. Layover later changed the title to Abducted for the dvd release.Other noticeable projects Massi worked until now, Summer 2014, includes a recurring guest star role on NCIS Los Angeles and a great supporting role on the film Blood of Redemption alongside Dolph Lundgren, Billy Zane and Vinnie Jones.Mr. Furlan later on played a Persian vampire on the HBO hit show True Blood and the same year you could catch him on The Last Ship, the new Michael Bay TNT series.2015 started well and Massi was cast in a 20th Century Fox comedy (is favorite theme) Keeping up with the Joneses alongside Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher and John Hamn.The same year ended with a two major project, Trafficked a movie about human trafficking alongside Ashley Judd (the movie most likely will premiere at the UN in Geneva the summer of 2016) and Live by Night, a period movie based in Boston in the late 20's, starred and directed Ben Affleck and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio.
