Marcos Gonzalez was born in the Dominican Republic. On his 10th birthday his family brought him to America to join them. He was raised in New York's Spanish Harlem and heavily immersed in the culture and lifestyle of the Hispanic heritage there. He first started acting at a very young age in school plays and enjoyed it.Then he found music and shifted his focus - playing many percussion instruments with many Latin rhythms that enable his collaboration with salsa and merengue bands. Later, he discovered a talent for the guitar and piano and immediately began collaborating with a Spanish rock band and also began songwriting in many different types of music, especially ballads and Spanish rock. He does love performing in front of an audience (live or virtual).Ten years ago, he was introduced once again into acting and rediscovered his true passion for the art. He has been focusing on film and television, though he also hopes to expand into theater as well. He performs in both Spanish and English easily. He joined SAG in 2011. HE has played principal roles on "The Wolf of Wall Street", "About Ray", and "Goodtimes", and has worked on most of the television shows shot in NYC during 2010 and 2015&16. He has also made several appearances on CNN's "The Hunt with John Walsh", leading in one episode, and on The Discovery Channel's "Scorned, Love Kills", "Evil Eye" and recently played the lead in an episode of "I, Witness". He collaborated with director Baz Luhrmann on Netflix's "The Getdown" He has played a variety of roles including secret service men, detectives, policemen, EMTs, janitors, bodyguards, reporters, lawyers, doctors and fathers. His ethnic appearance allows him not only to play Hispanic roles, but also Italian, Middle Eastern, and Caucasian.He is extremely professional and serious about his work. He enjoys working with teams of fellow actors & crew and does his part to make the work both enjoyable and successful.
