Jodie Brooke Wilson is a singer who can also write her own songs. Her new album, 'Angelic' is a delightful collection of enchanting and uplifting self-penned tracks.Now resident in Britain for many years but born and raised in Australia, Jodie has already achieved significant worldwide success as a prolific songwriter. She has had international Number One hits and written with some of the best songwriters in the world.Top American producers Ric Wake and David Foster, both of whom have worked with the foremost modern-day divas, including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez, have praised Jodie's vocal qualities and singled her out as a major talent.Jodie's debut album 'Halfway to Paradise'(Decca) was featured as 'Album of the Week' on many major, national UK radio stations. Internationally, the album remained at No 1 in the chart for over a month in the Far East.She has played in concert at the Royal Albert Hall, guesting for Michael McDonald on the UK performances of his world tour.In Europe, she also enjoyed success as a writer with her song 'I Want What She's Got', which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in January 2002.In Australia, Jodie was co-writer of 'Higher Than Heaven', which became a No. 1, double platinum album for girl band 'Bardot'. Her mother was the star of a long-running hit TV series but despite her theatrical background, she certainly wasn't a pushy stage-mum.
