James M. Sandín was born Jaime Andrés McAdams Sandín in the Santurce district of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Prior to entering the first grade, he moved to Westchester County (NY) with his family and began proper schooling in the English language. His mother, a lifelong educator, continued his concurrent Spanish studies at home and he remains bilingual to this day.Displaying a penchant for performance from a young age, James actively participated in theatrical and musical presentations all the way through high school and college. He also fronted/played guitar in various rock/pop cover bands through those years and beyond. After receiving his B.A. in Theater, he moved to New York City and began auditioning for stage, screen and television roles. He was a member of The Maggie Flanigan Studio's inaugural class (2-year program in Meisner technique) and has also trained at the Yale School of Drama and Lesly Kahn & Co. in Los Angeles, CA.
