Irene Glezos played Lady in Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending in two theatrical productions in 2016, one in New York City directed by Austin Pendleton produced in association with The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival (where she first appeared as Lady in 2010 in a production directed by Nick Potenzieri) and one at the Southern Rep Theatre in New Orleans directed by Jef Hall-Flavin (for which she was nominated for Best Actress by the 2017 Big Easy Entertainment Awards). Other New York and regional theater favorites include: Maria Callas in Master Class for the International Festival of the Voice (directed by Shauna Kanter and in another production at Musical Theatre of Connecticut in Westport for which she was nominated Outstanding Leading Actress by the Connecticut Critics Circle 2014, Gertrude in Jane Bowles' In the Summerhouse (director, David Kaplan), Fairouz in Naomi Wallace's In the Heart of America (Long Wharf, director, Tony Kushner), Joyce/Isabella Bird in Top Girls (Harold Clurman Theatre, director, April Shawhan), Anna Prager in The Gift (director, Shauna Kanter), Collette in Four Dogs and a Bone (director, Ted Gregory), Anna in Ron Elisha's Two (INTAR, director, Bernice Rohret with Mark Hammer), and Bo in Jane Martin's Criminal Hearts (Stamford Theatre Works, director Susie Fuller). She has also written and performed much of her own work including a solo play called Y, co-created and directed by Brad Calcaterra, about the mysterious final days of Marilyn Monroe. She has appeared in numerous films including Deadly Obsessions and Woody Allen's Celebrity and on television series including Criminal Intent, Sex and the City, Trial by Jury, Third Watch and several episodes of Law and Order. In summer 2016, she shot an independent film called Crater directed by Jack Dilday and Johan Aidt and in Fall, 2016 is working as a series regular on a web series called Park Slope Moms in the role of Nina.
