Flor De Liz Perez is an actress/writer living in New York City. Born in the Dominican Republic, this self-proclaimed "Domini-gringa" spent her childhood in both NY and PA with her parents and younger brother. Encouraged by her parents to pursue the arts from a young age, Flor De Liz landed the role of a penguin in her elementary school show one year. She hasn't left the stage since.She received her BA in Theatre from Bucknell University, and while living a year abroad during college, she trained at the London Dramatic Academy under Sir Richard Digby Day. Flor De Liz then went on to receive her MFA in Acting at the Professional Actor Training Program at UNC-Chapel Hill, receiving additional training at the Guthrie Theatre under Ken Washington.During her time at UNC-Chapel Hill, she performed in various productions with the renowned regional theatre company, PlayMakers Repertory Company. These productions include: "Romeo and Juliet," "The Little Prince," and "In the Continuum." Now settled in NYC, she has worked on TV (The Good Wife, Made in Jersey); in film (the upcoming indie The House That Jack Built); and continues to perform on stage, having worked at Two River Theater in NJ, as well as with various theatre companies in NYC. She is a writer/performer with the NY Neo-Futurists in their long-running show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.
