Eron Otcasek was born in Boston, Massachusetts and has studied acting at Emerson College and the Lee Strausberg Institute. He moved to New York City to study his other passion, film. He took classes at New York Film Academy and graduated New York University with a B.A. in film and television. 6 short films later and working constantly on both sides of the camera, Eron began an acting career that has led him to lead roles in both the Bollywood movie Inscrutable Americans (1999), and the lead role in the film Roomates (2001), directed by Paulina Porizkova and co-staring Griffin Dunne and Jim Jarmusch. Since then, his film roles have varied from a "street punk" in the 2003 Tribeca film festival hit Wholey Moses (2003) (starring Linda Hamilton) to a runaway with an anger management problem in the upcoming short "Who Is Don Berdi?". Eron can also be seen in the blockbuster hits The School of Rock (2003) and 13 Going on 30 (2004). And his comedic role as a slacker in the ensemble movie Charlie's Party (2005) is now making its way through festivals. Eron is now getting ready for the production of the acidic dark comedy Absence (2009), and has just completed directing a documentary for the rock group, "The Cars", which will be released sometime next year. His television credits include a guest appearance on Law & Order (1990) and a lead role on the 2nd ever episode of Barry Levinson's The Jury (2004). All throughout, he continues to work with such respected acting teachers as Harold Guskin and Sheila Grey, every chance he gets. Show less «
