Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, De'Cha was an excellent student and athlete growing up. Who's who among American High School Students, All-American cheerleader, Varsity Track runner, and Beauty Pageant Winner. De'Cha was the All-American girl. Upon graduating she joined the United States Navy and served four years active duty before being honorably released and being selected to receive the Navy Achievement Medal. She worked in the Information Technology field for several years before returning to college at Louisiana State University where she was an Honors Student and selected as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar.While in college, De'Cha worked as a Model to support herself. Upon graduating she ended up in Las Vegas to continue modeling. Feeling that she was at the end of her road with modeling, she became interested in acting. She moved back to Louisiana to do just that. But modeling was still in her future as she won 2013 eTalentShowcase Model of the Year.LaVeau moves easily among the various genres - print, runway, promotions, conventions, music videos, calendar, swimsuit, fitness, commercials and hosting gigs -she's done it all. Her personality allows her to work in many areas of the industry. It was no doubt an easy transition for her from modeling to acting. The idea was to become a connoisseur of what she enjoys most.
