Debra is an American born actress who'd never considered acting. She accompanied her youngest daughter on an audition for a Starbucks commercial in 2014. An employee at the agency noticed Debra as she sat waiting for her daughter to be called in and finish auditioning. The employee kept telling her to go in after each group of actors exited the audition. Debra insisted that she was only there to support her daughter. The employee suggested that Debra consider signing up with the agency. Reason being, she had the right looks and personality. She laughed it off, because other than elementary school and church plays, Debra had zero acting experience. After much encouragement from the employee, Debra took heed and was signed. She's been working non-stop every since. She's acted in movies such as (San Andreas, Steve Jobs, Ant Man 1 and 2, Venom, Sense 8 and the thriller US), etc. Debra has been in TV shows like (Murder In the First, Wives with Knives, HBO Ballers and ABC's miniseries When We Rise). Additionally, (Netflix 13 Reasons Why and A Taiwanese Tale of Two Cities). She's been in numerous commercials with several Golden State Warrior's Basketball players like (Stephen Curry for Muscle Milk; Wins and Losses for Kaiser Permanente, Apple's; Beats by Dre with Draymond Green and NBA Hands; with Andre Iguodala). It doesn't stop there. Additionally, Debra has been booked with roles for major companies like (Sutter Health, Princess Cruise, Samsung, Apple, Geico Insurance, Vistaprint, Wells Fargo and Bank of the West). She's been featured in a national commercial with principles John Legend and Kevin Durant for Google Assistant called; "Make Google Do It!" Recently, Debra has a notable appearance in commercials for (Post's Honey Bunches of Oats and Davids Bridal). She's acted in short films and featured films like (Stripes, Sisters and the first season of the webisode; The North Pole Show). She was instrumental in a new groundbreaking, ultrasound equipment to detect "breast cancer" better than Mammograms approved by the FDA. She participated in the research needed by sharing her compelling, personal story of having a family history of the deadly disease. Debra has accomplished several roles in production credits as well. She's acted and been part of a team of producers on a two distributed web- series. She recently added "voice-over" to her growing talents. Debra is a licensed pharmacy technician, Cosmetologist and earned certification as a nurses assistant in 2009. She's also earned two Associate's Degrees and is currently furthering her education. When not in front or behind the camera, she's a wife of over thirty years, mom of six amazing adult children and grandmother to eight adorable young ones. She enjoys laughing and quality time with her family. Debra looks forward to relaxation by listening to the sound of water fountains, oceans and reading from her huge array of books. Helping others, spiritual strengthening, singing, cooking, dancing, yard work, writing and perfecting her crafts are of importance.
