David Raynolds may be young, but he is also an award winning, focused and poised professional who has been performing in television and film since infancy. He was singing and dancing at the age of 1 and producing his own videos at age 3. David then began formal acting training in his hometown of Calgary. After appearing in several independent Calgary productions, David landed a feature film role in The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet (2013) at the age of 6. Among his co-stars was renowned actress Helena Bonham Carter. This amazing actress was a huge inspiration to David during the shoot and their association has had a lasting impact on the young actor. When the film wrapped, David wanted nothing more than to return to the set and continue working.At age of 7, his family moved to Vancouver for David to continue professional training and pursue his acting career. He has studied with some of the most reputable acting teachers in Vancouver. David has appeared in numerous productions including the hit sci-fi television series Falling Skies (2011), commercials for Nascar, Swiss Chalet, Nintendo, United Way and voiceover roles for such brands as Lego, Ninjago and Biklonz. He has been a featured guest on Shaw TV's eveRIAthing and a presenter at the 2015 eveRIAthing Wall of Stars Awards Night. Having already earned the respect of multiple casting and movie directors, David recently wrapped a role in the sci-fi television series Wayward Pines (2015) and currently has several other exciting projects in the works. He has also just released his debut album.David is a Joey Award and AOF Award winner and has also received several award nominations from the Young Artist Awards and Young Entertainer Awards. A future philanthropist, David's dream is to help as many people as possible by sending a positive message via his performances. Someday, David hopes to build orphanages and shelters for those in need.
