Christian Carrigan is an 18 year old actor and model from Boston, Massachusetts who now resides in New York City. Growing up as the son of a retired ballet dancer, Christian was captivated by performance arts and begged his parents to take him to live theatre and productions as a child. Christian's father then introduced him to Alfred Hitchcock, which sparked his intense fascination for film. Growing up inspired by artists like Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Marina Abramovic, David Bowie, Andy Warhol, Marlon Brando, and Lady GaGa, his passion emerged from understanding the artist perspective, and from this understanding his appreciation for the creative depiction of our empathetic world was born. Christian began appearing in plays as a child, his first a church play at age 6. Christian often played high energy leading characters like Lord Farquaad in 'Shrek the Musical' and Hugo in 'Bye Bye Birdie.' Soon afterwards, he sought professional productions to hone his craft and began appearing in regional plays at age 16. He played romantic leads such as Jonathan Harker in the Broadway stage adaptation of 'Dracula', and disturbed characters like William Borden in the murder mystery 'Lizzie'. Christian learned to balance four shows a week with his theatrical training courses, and high school career occurring simultaneously. Nonetheless, he dramatically improved his performance skills. In late 2017, Christian was scouted by fashion photographers who offered magazine publication and social media exposure for test shoots. Christian appeared in 5 publications for Vanity Teen mag, Atlas Mag, Vogue Italia, Playhaus Mag and Korea's Hep Magazine. Soon after christian was selected to attend the international Model and Talent Association(IMTA). This same convention was once attended by Hollywood stars like Ashton Kutcher, Aaron Paul, Katie Holmes, and Jessica Biel. Here Christian was runner up for Male Junior Actor of the Year and was awarded in his screen test, cold read, improv, and commercial print categories. He received eleven callbacks from agents and managers internationally. After signing with a talent agent, Christian moved to New York City in August 2018. Since then he has worked on several television and film projects that are set to release later this year. He's appeared in a major music video for the rock band Sylar, and soon will make his television debut in a leading role for an episode of Evil Lives Here. Christian is currently filming a pilot whilst training in Acting for Film and Television at the Stella Adler Studio. Christian is a deeply passionate artist who seeks projects which illuminate the human experience and depict both the benevolent and darker sides of the human experience.
