Carolyn Reese Crotty is from Omaha, Nebraska, the youngest of six children. Her late father, Dr. Richard Crotty, was a respected dermatologist in Omaha and a friend of Warren Buffet. While in Nebraska, Carolyn studied singing with the famous cabaret singer Julie Wilson.She started her career at the famous StageDoor Manor in upper state New York, under the tutelage of Jack Romano and Mark Saks. Carolyn was up for the feature film "Cider House Rules," leading to a meeting with John Irving, but the film ended up being delayed for 10 years. She was runner up for the series ER.Carolyn is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Women's Studies and English. She is also a respected acting teacher to young adults. Carolyn teaches acting to young adults at The Young Actor's Studio in North Hollywood and at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica.She is best known for her work on Ryan Murphy's "The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story," as Mrs. Lance Ito. Carolyn is married to actor Bruce Katzman and resides in Los Angeles, where she has performed in countless plays.
