Athena Ashburn claims her goddess name with a courageous spirit and commitment to furthering her career through self-empowerment. Her adventurousness in pursuing innovative projects is only matched by her dedication and boundless energy in making them a success. In her very first venture as a producer/actress, Athena brought Academy Award and Emmy-winning actors to The Elevator (1996), a film in which she also starred. She also garnered a "Best Supporting Actress" award at the New York Independent Film & Video Festival for her work in The Theory of the Leisure Class (2001). She was also a producer on the film, a "Best Thriller" winner at the festival. As a struggling actress, Athena quickly realized there was no front door in the entertainment business and she would have to build her own door to get what she wanted. As a producer, Athena has been able to bring a slew of great material to life with well-known actors and establish herself as a powerful force in all aspects of filmmaking.
