Asta Paredes is a dynamic and multi-talented actress based in New York City. She is most well known for her lead role as CHRISSY in RETURN TO NUKE 'EM HIGH VOL. 1 & 2. After a whirlwind tour (from the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, International Theatrical Release, and recognition as a 2013 Museum of Modern Art CONTENDERS SERIES film)- she came home to being a mix of unexpected cult icon status, outspoken advocate for LGBT rights, and a critically acclaimed actress.Her acting foundation was training at the prestigious University of Minnesota/ Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program as well as study in London at the Globe Theater, the London International School for Performing Arts, and with various teaching artists.Thru her classical training she has appeared onstage in various roles including: the "Princess of France" in LOVE'S LABOURS LOST, 'Katerina' in SLAVS! and even originated the role of 'Ursa Minor' in TINY DISASTERS at the Dowling Studio in the Guthrie Theater.After her move to NYC, Asta continued her training to study a bit at the Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Training Center. Shortly after, she dove into a couple sketch comedy shorts working with friend/comedian Dave Herman including: BATTLESHIP PITCH MEETING andTHE BARISTA.In the Spring of 2014, Asta along with RTNH co-star Clay von Carlowitz, successfully raised funds thru Indiegogo to produce and star in a special two night performance of DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA by John Patrick Shanley at the Robert Moss Theater.
