Amanda Rivas was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. She knew, as a young child, she wanted to be an actress. She performed in high school theatre productions, culminating in an All Star Cast Award. After graduation, she began pursuing a professional career in front of and behind the camera.Amanda worked for a long-standing agency in Texas, while also pursuing her acting career, before making the move to Los Angeles. Her industry experience, both in front of and behind the camera, has provided her with uncommon knowledge and a broad education that she has applied to her career and life.Amanda has spent nearly two decades training with leading casting directors, agents and coaches from coast to coast, and has developed her craft extensively, with strengths as both a comedienne and a dramatic performer.Through training, development, determination, an uncommon work ethic, and support from family and friends, Amanda has accumulated numerous credits in film, television, commercial, industrial, music video, web, and print campaigns. Noteworthy credits include: Friday Night Lights, Chase, Prison Break, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and the official 2011 Sundance selection All She Can, among others.While Amanda has achieved terrific successes, she has managed to stay grounded and focused due to her unwavering faith in God, whom she glorifies above all else. She is close to her family and leans on them continuously. Her mother and grandmother are her best friends, her dad, a former bodybuilder, is a great mentor, and her three younger siblings inspire her to be the best she can be.Amanda is also a nationally qualified bikini athlete in the National Physique Committee (NPC). She will compete this year with hopes of becoming a professional bikini athlete.Amanda also volunteers at Best Friends Animal Society, helping homeless animals find forever homes. She wholeheartedly believes in Best Friends' slogan, "Save Them All" and is determined to help make Los Angeles become a no kill city.Amanda makes the most out of every day and continually pushes herself to reach her goals and achieve her dreams.Amanda is managed by Stein Entertainment Group.
