Ajax Maharlika graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in December 2013, majoring in Digital Cinema and minoring in Theatre and Filipino. While at UHM, Ajax achieved many accolades for both his acting and directing roles, including winning four semesters in a row in his Filipino program's bi-annual Songfest and Dramafest, winning the Audience Choice Award for his film Spare Change in his film program's 2012 Winter Showcase and the IMAGINE Award for his indigenous documentary Tekniklingz: Modern Filipino Tinikling. He also played a principal role in Koa Ohana (Director: Erin Lau), which won the Audience Choice Award in that same showcase.Following his graduation in 2013, Ajax's favorite principal role to date was human-trafficking gang boss Frankie Choi in season four of CBS' hit show, Hawaii Five-O. He also had a memorable role as a renegade in Capitol Records pop-star Halsey's music video for her chart-topping anthem New Americana. Ajax has also worked closely with Leila Steinberg, Tupac Shakur's former manager, bringing her emotional literacy organization, Aim4TheHeart, to Hawaii, with the goal of providing weekly workshops where troubled children and teens can express themselves through art, music and poetry.On the film production side, Ajax has enjoyed working on many major motion pictures that have filmed in Hawaii, including Kong: Skull Island, Jurassic World, Aloha, Snowden, and network TV shows like The Biggest Loser, Bad Girls Club, Mystery Diners.In his spare time, Ajax enjoys playing with his 3 year old son, Michelangelo, writing and performing Hip Hop music and coaching and mentoring champion athletes and elite military personnel (Marines, Army Special Forces, Army Rangers, etc.) at War Horse Strength Camp's Champion Development Academy.
